Yann Graf, blogger and founder of cafevert.tv, Lausanne, answered to the question in French: “What percentage of your ideas do you actually carry out ?”.
He says it depends. Three days a week, he works for Terre des Hommes. He limits his idea production because he knows that he can carry out less in a corporate context. It is very difficult to know the percentage, he thinks it is about 5%.
The percentage is higher for his projects as a freelancer. The projects are may be shorter and he is freer, too. He has no boss and there is no structure that conditions his ideas. So it’s may be 10, 15 or 20%.
He can also implement many ideas for cafevert.tv but here he has to choose because it’s impossible to carry out every idea. Criteria are for example feasibility, realism (not too utopistic), and ideas which create something.
